The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) replaced Eurac Research as Lead Partner in the MATILDE Project.
On 15 January 2021, the Extraordinary General Assembly (GEAS) of the MATILDE Consortium unanimously endorsed the proposal to transfer the role of Lead Partner from Eurac Research to University of Eastern Finland.
Prof. Jussi P. Laine has been appointed as the new Project Coordinator of MATILDE. Dr. Andrea Membretti will continue as the Scientific Head of the project, as a part of the UEF team.
Eurac and UEF are collaborating closely on the transfer in order to ensure continuity and high quality in the implementation of the project.
As a consortium with 25 project partners and 19 supporting partners in 10 European countries, MATILDE project is focusing on the impact of migration on the local development of rural and mountain regions. The project develops and tests a transdisciplinary conceptual and methodological framework for a multidimensional assessment of the economic and social impacts of Third Country Nationals (TNCs).
