The competences attributed to the Government of Aragon’s Department of Citizenship and Social Rights are translated into the political will to build a secure society. As its name suggests, it is committed to re-inserting citizenship rights and in particular social rights in the public policies of the Government of Aragon, from the conviction of the obligation to organize a model of coexistence that is guided by values of equality, freedom and solidarity combined in a stable way in a fair society where people can develop their vital projects and citizenship, regardless of their social and personal position. Their objective is to ensure the protection of citizens in situations of social emergency and the commitment to an active social inclusion strategy, a true center of social policy.
